For our spring outing we will be visiting the British Racing School (BRS) at Snailwell Rd, Newmarket, CB8 7NN.
The BRS is world renowned within the racing industry for its training courses and facilities.
Here is a good chance to visit this important centre which is on our doorstep!

The meeting will follow the following format:
- Please do not arrive before 10.00.
- 10.15 - 10.45 Meet at the BRS for Coffee and Biscuits.
- 10.45 – 11.30 A talk on the History of Racing in Newmarket - Peter Williams.
- 11.30 - 11.45 Brief on the BRS - Duncan Gregory, Operations Director BRS.
- 11.45 – 12.30 A gentle tour of the School facilities - Duncan Gregory.
- 12.45 – End A finger buffet will be served.
Cost of the visit is £18 per head.
The British Racing School is one of the two racing schools in the United Kingdom, the other being the National Horseracing College in Doncaster. Established in 1983, it is a charitable trust providing training for all people working in the horse racing industry. It offers comprehensive training for horseracing careers, including foundation courses, apprenticeships (Level 2 & 3), jockey licensing, and specialized modules. Core programs include the 18-week Foundation Course for beginners, specialized rider training, and industry-accredited courses for grooms, trainers, and aspiring jockeys.
