The August visit of the club is to P&A Wood which is shown on the map below.

From Newmarket take the A11 south. As you approach the M11 take the slip road to the B184 signposted to Saffron Walden.
As you enter Saffron Walden the B184 is known as Windmill Hill. Keep on this road which then becomes known as Bridge Street and then High Street.
Turn left onto George Street, still the A184, which will then become known as Hill Street and later Cates Corner.
The name of the B184 then changes to East Street which ends at the cross roads with Thaxted Road.
Turn right at the cross road on to Thaxted Road, still the A184 and follow this road to Thaxted.
As you approach Thaxted the A184 changes its name again to Walden Road. Continue into Thaxted where the name changes to Newbiggen Street but is still the B184.
Newbiggin Street bends round to the left and changes its name to Watling Street. Continue and the road changes its name again to Mill End.
Keep on the B184 which then becomes Dunmow Road.
On entering Great Easton, the left turning for the Green Man is clearly marked.
The post code for the Green Man is CM6 2DN.
If you are not coming to the meal before the visit, keep on the B184 and in less than half mile further P & A Wood is on the right.
